Around the Shop : Mother’s Day

You might think Valentine’s day is one of the craziest days in a floral shop, and you would be right, but Mother’s Day has got it beat by a mile! We were swamped this year (thank you all for your orders!) and would have loved to take pictures of each arrangement before they went out the door, but there just was not a moment to spare.  Here are 2 that we got some quick snaps of before they went out to some very special moms.

Absolutely Stunning

Wow, is there anything left to say? Thank you to the girls at Andrea Jae Photography for sharing these stunning images with us! Jessica’s family grew these magnificent Dahlias and wanted us to use them in all the florals.  We could not have asked for more beautiful blooms to work with and it made the flowers that much more special for this bride and her family.  Congratulations to Jessica and Sean who got married last fall on what was a perfect wedding day!

***Do check out the work of Andrea Jae Photography, I had not seen their work prior to this and I am sure you could just get lost on their blog for hours with all the beautiful images floating around.  Beautiful images of a beautiful bride!

Kent Island Manor

These are just some quick shots we took this past weekend at Kent Island Manor while we were setting up a garden wedding.  How lucky were we to catch the bride all dressed up and carrying her bouquet!? Lush peonies and roses… you can’t even believe how pretty it smelled! We’re looking forward to getting some of the shots from the professional photographers back, as everything looked so pretty! Another happy bride and groom!  Congratulations!

Gorgeous Garden Wedding in Monkton

The wedding was right around the corner and everything was falling into place. The bride, armed with a beautiful vision and more than enough talent to pull it off, had taken care of every detail–except for one. She just couldn’t find the right florist to pull together the incredible clean, crisp garden look she was going for. As luck would have it, we were asked to do her wedding shower florals only two weeks before her wedding and within hours of the shower, we had ourselves a wonderful new client and less than two weeks to pull together one of the prettiest weddings we  have ever been a part of.  The style was garden party with punches of delicate sherbert-like color.  Some of the work was built in-house, but a lot of what we did had to be built on site.  Here are just some of the images from our set up on the wedding day. The bride’s family home in Monkton  was absolutely lovely and served as the perfect backdrop for a picture-perfect wedding. It reminded me of an English Village with small outbuildings and unique architectural details, statuary in the various gardens, hedgerows reminiscent of a garden maze, paths and walkways, arbors–really a wonderful place. We will certainly post more pictures but wanted to get these few up right away!
